The history of Brio Fruits

Brio Fruits is a brand created in 1975, with the initial objective of satisfying the French market, the destination to which all our fruit was shipped in our origins. Subsequently, new markets were opened and from the year 2002, our expansion was consolidated.

Since our foundation in 1975, we have been a family business, now in our third generation. Our motivated staff and constant striving for high quality are the basis of our success, making BRIO Fruits not only a family business but also one of the leading citrus growers in Spain.

The exclusive quality of BRIO FRUITS oranges is a result of the experience, professionalism and care that our experts give to each fruit at every stage of their production process. This quality is guaranteed by our philosophy of providing maximum satisfaction to each and every customer.

We are a team

Abel Alarcón Natán
Chief Executive Officer
As CEO of Brio Fruits, I can only feel enormously proud of the human resources team we have in this company. It is thanks to them that, today we are fully consolidated in the fruit and vegetable sector and year after year we exceed our targets and expectations, despite the growing competition and temporary adversities.

That’s why, from these pages, I thank each and every one of the staff members comprising Brio Fruits for their dedication and commitment to the company, without which we would never have achieved such a high level of satisfaction from our customers.
Carmen Barchino
Personnel Manager
I have been working for this company for 22 years. I started in the warehouse in boxing. I’ve been through almost all the positions in the warehouse, and now I’m in charge of personnel.

In the years I’ve been here, I’ve seen how this company has evolved and innovated.
Jose Elías Artés
Production Manager
Forty years ago, when I was a young boy, I started working as a labourer, in Agrios Selectos, or Brio, in Gandía, on Calle Meléndez y Pelayo. We used wooden crates, taking oranges to the town of Piles for de-greening. Later the company bought land in Real de Gandía and built the new warehouse, where Antonio Alarcón became the manager.

In those days everything was manual, and our markets were limited: mostly Paris, Madrid and Barcelona. Then Abel Alarcón caem on as manager of the company and the warehouse changed in every way: improvements to everything (unloading, palletizing, packing and expansion), improved production and new trucks. Abel Alarcón is very innovative and active, always working and opening up new markets.

I, Elías, have been working at Brio Fruits all my life and I am very proud of it!
María José
Dispatch Manager
I have been working for the company for 33 years. After so much time at Brio Fruits, I have seen how the company has evolved over the years, always adapting to the needs of our customers.

As a spokesperson for the Dispatch Department, I want to tell you that, thanks to our work, we make every effort possible so that our citrus fruits can reach your hands in the best possible conditions. Thank you for continuing to choose our products.
